Marine & Industrial Engineering Services in the UAE

Six service areas covering rotating equipment, marine machinery, machining, electrical manufacturing and fabrication — delivered from one workshop in Sharjah, with attendance alongside and on site across Dubai and Sharjah, and quoted as a single scope.

Service portfolio

Each service has its own page setting out the scope of work, how the job runs, the applications it suits, what to send with an enquiry and the questions we are asked most. Most enquiries cross more than one of them — a pump overhaul that needs a shaft machined and a motor rewound, or a heating circuit that needs an element, a calorifier and the panel that controls them — and they are scoped as one job rather than three contracts.

Motor Rewinding & Dynamic Balancing

Rewinding, overhaul and dynamic balancing of marine and industrial electric motors up to 900 kW, returned tested.

A motor that trips on earth fault, runs hot or draws uneven current between phases has usually lost insulation rather than copper. We strip and measure before quoting, record the winding turn by turn so the rebuild matches the original design, and rewind with Class H copper and insulation as standard. Rotors, armatures, impellers and fans are balanced to 2.5 tons with vibration readings taken before and after.

AC and DC motor rewinding to 900 kW, low and high voltage

Generator and alternator stator and rotor rewinding

Dynamic balancing of rotors and assemblies to 2.5 tons

Vibration readings, shaft straightening and impeller balancing

Insulation resistance, winding resistance and load testing

Heating Element & Calorifier Manufacturing

Custom electric heating elements and hot water calorifiers manufactured to your voltage, wattage, sheath material and mounting.

Ten element types are manufactured here rather than resold: flange and screw plug immersion, spiral tubular, cartridge, finned, air tubular, inline circulation, open coil furnace, mica space heaters and hot plates. We build from a drawing, a sample or the failed element, and keep the specification so the next replacement comes off the same drawing. Hot water calorifiers are made from 300 to 5000 litres in stainless steel or copper for hotels, vessels, laundries, kitchens and plant rooms.

Ship Repair & Maintenance

Afloat and workshop repair for commercial and privately owned vessels — engine, generator and pump overhauling, electrical and structural work.

Inspection, diagnosis, engine and pump work in place, electrical repair and welding are carried out at your berth in Dubai and Sharjah. Rewinding, balancing, machining and manufacturing happen in the workshop, because each depends on equipment that does not travel. We scope across both so a vessel is opened up once, and so a fault that crosses trades stays one job with one owner.

Marine engine overhauling — top-end or full, priced after measurement

Generator overhaul, AVR diagnostics, insulation and load testing

Pump overhauling and repair — all types of pumps

Hull, structural and pipework repair, welding and corrosion control

Planned maintenance programmes and breakdown attendance

Machine Shop & Mechanical Repair

Turning, boring, sleeving and shaft repair, plus replacement parts made from a drawing, a sample or the worn original.

The machine shop is what lets a scored shaft, a picked-up bearing housing or an engine component just outside tolerance be recovered this week instead of waited on for weeks. For obsolete parts the worn component is the reference: measured, with wear allowed for, so the replacement restores the fit the assembly actually has rather than a nominal dimension on a drawing nobody can find.

Shaft sleeving, re-machining and hydraulic straightening

Recovery of worn seal faces and bearing seats

Obsolete part manufacture from drawing, sample or measurement

Switchgear & Control Panel Manufacturing

Marine switchgear, motor control, engine control and temperature control panels, built to your schedule or engineered from the equipment.

Panels are assembled from the same components everywhere; what differs is the specification and the build. Enclosure rating and material are chosen for the environment, components are sized for the real duty and starting method, and the layout is arranged so heat escapes and a technician can reach a terminal. Where no drawing survives — the usual case on a replacement — we work from the equipment and how it is operated.

Marine switchgear and power distribution boards

Motor control and starter panels, DOL, star-delta and soft start

Frequency control units for variable speed applications

Engine control panels for main, auxiliary and generator sets

Temperature control and HVAC panels, tested before despatch

Fabrication, Piping & Pressure Vessels

Stainless steel pressure vessels, tanks and steel structures, with pipe spooling, renewal and installation for marine and industrial systems.

Marine and plant fabrication is mostly renewal rather than new build: a line wastes from the inside, a support cracks from vibration, a tank needs a modification the original drawing never anticipated. Work is measured where it sits, spooled to fit the run as it exists, welded to procedure, pressure tested, and finished with supports, coatings and insulation reinstated.

Pipe spool fabrication, renewal and installation

Fuel, firewater, lube oil, chemical, chilled water and ballast lines

FAQs

What customers ask before they send a job

Describe the problem rather than the trade. Enquiries that arrive as one service often cross two or three — a pump overhaul needing a shaft machined and a motor rewound, for example — and we scope them as a single job with one schedule rather than three separate contracts.

Both. Inspection, diagnosis, engine and pump work in place, electrical repair and welding are carried out at your berth, plant room or site across Dubai and Sharjah. Motor rewinding, dynamic balancing, machining and manufacturing are done at the workshop in Al Sajaa, Sharjah, because they depend on fixed equipment.

Yes. Equipment is inspected and stripped where required, and you receive a written finding with what we recommend and what it costs before the work is committed. Where a strip is needed to price the job properly, we say so rather than quoting a number we would have to revise.

Yes — and they are different things. Heating elements, hot water calorifiers, switchgear and control panels, fabricated vessels and structures and obsolete machined parts are manufactured here. That is frequently what lets a repair complete on schedule instead of waiting on a supply lead time.

Breakdown attendance is considered. Send the equipment, the location and the fault and we will tell you what can be attended and when — including when another contractor would reach you sooner.

Insulation resistance and load testing on electrical work, vibration readings after balancing, pressure testing on pumps and piping, and function testing on manufactured elements, calorifiers and panels.

Not sure which service the job falls under?

Describe the problem rather than the trade. Most enquiries that arrive as one service turn out to cross two or three, and a single scope from one engineering team is easier to manage — and to programme — than three separate contractors.
